Last Thursday, 19 February, Casino Marbella delivered to the Marbella City Council a total of 13.341 euros, originating from the well‑known ‘Orphan Chips’: casino chips misplaced by customers that are allocated in full each year to social causes. This amount represents the highest collection recorded since the beginning of this initiative, reflecting the growth and consolidation of a charitable project that forms an essential part of the company’s social commitment.
The event took place at the Casino’s facilities and was attended by the Delegate for Social Rights, Equality and Diversity, Isabel Cintado, who attended on behalf of the Marbella City Council to receive the contribution.
Over the years, this initiative has become a consistent example of collaboration between Casino Marbella and the local administration. The funds raised will help strengthen various municipal programmes aimed at individuals and families in vulnerable situations, contributing to the enhancement of the city’s social resources and the improvement of residents’ well‑being.
During the meeting, the councillor highlighted the importance of maintaining this type of initiative, which provides additional resources for the groups most in need of support, and expressed her appreciation for Casino Marbella’s sustained commitment.
On behalf of the Casino, Manolo Romero, Gaming Director, was responsible for formalising the handover. Casino Marbella expressed great satisfaction in seeing that this initiative continues to grow year after year, and reaffirmed the Casino’s commitment to supporting projects that generate a direct and positive impact on Marbella.
