Casino Marbella promotes social projects with the donation of its orphan chips

For more than 40 years, Casino Marbella’s “Orphan Chips” have become the protagonists of solidarity, with the total proceeds obtained during the year 2022 being donated to the Marbella Town Hall.

The Orphan Chips are those that customers abandon, forget or misplace throughout the year and never get to claim. Once the year has passed, Casino Marbella counts the total amount and, after exchanging it for real money, gives it to the Marbella Town Hall.

This year, the amount is €9,740, breaking all records and becoming the highest amount raised for this purpose since this initiative has been carried out. Casino Marbella has already donated more than 260,000 € to the mayor’s office, positioning itself as one of the most supportive companies in the municipality.

The presentation ceremony, which took place today 26th April, inside the Casino, was presided over by the delegate of Social Rights, Equality and Diversity, Ms. Isabel Cintado. An intimate event in which Javier Burgués, Manager of Casino Marbella, awarded the significant cheque to the councillor, whose final destination will go to social projects for the most needy families in the city of Marbella.

The Town Hall, as always, is grateful for the gesture of solidarity, highlighting the absolute involvement of the Casino in the progress and development of the municipality.
