Casino Marbella unconditional sponsor of the association Debra Piel de Mariposa

Last Saturday 25th March, the Butterfly Children Golf Tournament took place, once again, in benefit of the Spanish association Debra Piel de Mariposa.

This non-profit foundation was founded in 1993 with the aim of improving the quality of life of people suffering from the disease Epidermolysis Bullosa, commonly known as Butterfly Skin. Those affected by this rare genetic anomaly suffer from an alteration in the skin and mucous membranes, making them extremely fragile to the slightest touch. Although EB still has no cure, the Debra-Butterfly Skin team, made up of nurses, social workers and psychologists, strives year after year to support, accompany and advise people suffering from the disease.

One of the actions carried out by the association, in order to continue the important work it does, is the Butterfly Children’s Championship. A charity tournament that has been held since 2002 and which, in this latest edition, has raised a spectacular €24,719 with a participation of 174 players.

Casino Marbella did not want to miss the opportunity to show its most charitable side and has collaborated with the foundation with a sponsorship that includes brand presence on a hole during the event.

On the other hand, the NGO has already announced the upcoming charity initiatives during the summer, which include a tournament at the Marbella Club de Golf and a charity gala at the Aloha Golf Club, which will feature a dinner, music and prizes.
